On one hand, it will prevent obesity and on the other hand, it will make the environment pollution free, as caused by the vehicles, when driven to reach school.

A number of studies have found that exercise and walking helps to rule out depression. Exercise blocks negative thoughts and distracts us from daily worries. Exercising with others provides an opportunity for increased social contacts. Increased fitness lifts our mood and also change levels of chemicals in our brain such as serotonin, endorphins and stress hormones. In the same way, morning walk is a boon for health. No diet or tonic is as effective as morning walk. Fresh morning air refreshes us and relaxes the body and mind.

Students, while walking to school can enjoy sights on the way which enlightens their mood. It is good source of entertainment. Students can also share their problems during this period. Moreover, they have to pay nothing to get this opportunity of getting bountiful happiness. Being fit and happy, their performance improves.
