What is a Countable Noun?

A countable noun is a noun that can be counted.

Examples: house, page, mirror, piano, soldiers, cow etc.

A countable noun can be further divided into two groups:

1. Singular Noun

A singular noun is a noun that represents only one in number.

Example: boy, chicken, book, story, etc.

2. Plural Noun

A plural noun is a noun that represents more than one in number.

Example: pages, foxes, movies, doctors, heroes, etc.
