Debate on Internet Cannot Replace a Classroom Teacher

‘The Internet cannot replace a classroom teacher’. Write a debate in 150-200 words either for or against the motion.

Respected Principal, Teachers, Honourable Members of the Jury and my worthy opponents. Good morning to you all.

I, Nidhi, stand before you to speak for the motion, ‘the internet cannot replace a classroom teacher’ Teachers touch the students’ lives in innumerable ways. They have a positive impact on a student, which builds his/her character from an early stage. These days, we are quite familiar with online classes and online teaching. There is even a designed curriculum, but unlike teachers, the internet cannot provide encouragement and support to the students when they get frustrated. Teaching is not just about making sure that the students are learning, it is also about helping students through the difficult time of their adolescence and youth. Internet does not take into consideration learning differences of students of different needs.

There are many benefits of using internet in the classroom but they cannot replace teachers. They can’t show compassion for students as teachers do. I would like to conclude by saying that while the internet provides only information, teachers provide lifelong knowledge and wisdom, which stays with the student for a long time.

Thank you
