Subject: Poor Sanitary Conditions

Dear Sir

Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I wish to draw your attention towards the poor sanitary conditions in the suburban areas of the city.

There is dirt and squalor all around. Heaps of garbage can be seen littered on the roads. With no sweepers to sweep off this dirt and garbage, these heaps have become the breeding ground of flies and mosquitoes. This is like giving an open invitation to the diseases. Some steps must be taken so that no contagious diseases spread in this area.

I request you to publish this article in general interest in your newspaper so that the local authorities pay some attention to this problem. Residents of this area should also be made aware of the advantages of cleanliness. They should be taught that Cleanliness is next to Godliness. The municipal corporation should also take stern actions against the sweepers who don’t perform their duties well and make arrangements for the clearance of these garbage heaps.

Thanking you

Yours sincerely
Mina
