Subject: Increase in road accidents due to use of mobile phones

Dear Sir

I shall deem it a great favour if you publicize about the increase in road accidents, due to the people using mobile phones while walking or driving in the editorial of your esteemed daily and also issue an appeal to the people not to use mobile phones while driving.

Mobile phones are very useful in emergency situations. However, this handy gadget becomes fatal if it is used on the road while driving a vehicle or while crossing the road.

It has been noticed that the number of road accidents have increased and in many accidents that occur either party is found talking on a mobile phone.

Talking on mobiles while walking on the road or crossing the road is as dangerous as when it is done while a driving a vehicle.

I, therefore, request you to publish this letter so as to appeal to the public to stop using mobile phones while driving or walking on the road.

Yours truly
Asha
