Kashmir is better known as heaven created by God on earth. It is surrounded by mountains, snow covered peaks, beautiful lakes and gardens. Its famous Dal lake is well known for the Houseboats. Many tourists visit Kashmir throughout the year. The people of Kashmir are very helpful. They prepare and enjoy delicious food. They keep kangri to warm themselves. Wicker work, Kashmir embroidery, walnut work etc. are the chief handicrafts of Kashmir people. People grow saffron on hilly terrain. It is well said about Kashmir that it is the Paradise of India.
