A sentence can be written in different ways to convey different meanings. On the basis of the way a sentence is written, there are four different types of sentences:

2. Imperative Sentence
An imperative sentence is one that expresses a command, a request, advice or a suggestion.
Examples:

3. Interrogative Sentence
An interrogative sentence is one that asks a question. It ends only with the question mark (?)
Examples:
- Why are you so late?
- Did you clean up the cupboard?
- Which is your house?
- Where is your school?
4. Exclamatory Sentence
An exclamatory sentence is one that shows surprise, joy, sorrow or happiness. These sentences end with an exclamation mark (!).
Examples:
