Sir
Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper I wish to draw your attention towards the increasing crime rate against women in the city. There is a sharp rise in the abduction and rape of young girls.
Girls do not feel safe while going out of their house. The city is becoming unsafe and the girls can not go out on their own. It is a cause of concern. There is lack of moral education among the masses. People must be made aware of the fact that females should be respected and given a due place in society.
It is the need of the hour to implement self-defence training in schools and colleges. Strict punishment should be given to the offenders so as to give a lesson to others who indulge in such activities. The crime rate must be checked and tackled well in time.
I request you to publish this letter of mine in the newspaper so that people become aware and situations improve for the girls in the society.
